Who BabySteps Is For?

BabySteps is designed for parents and caregivers of children aged 0 to 3 years. The app offers support, guidance, and tools to help navigate the early years of parenting.

If you are under the age of 13, please do not use the BabySteps app or share any personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn that we’ve received data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

If you believe your child may have registered or submitted information, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, please ask your parent or legal guardian for permission before sharing any personal information (such as your name or email) on the Internet, including through BabySteps.

We encourage parents and guardians to actively supervise their children’s app and internet use and help reinforce privacy best practices.

Information We Collect

When you use the BabySteps app, we may collect and store the following information that is necessary to provide and improve our service:

  • Account Information: Your email address (required to create an account).
  • Parent’s Name: Optional.
  • Child’s Profile: Optional information you voluntarily provide, such as your baby’s name, date of birth, milestone progress, or personal notes. This helps personalize your experience and track development stages.
  • Location: Optional and user-inputted — we do not track or infer your location via GPS or IP. All location data is manually provided by you.
  • Images: BabySteps does not collect or store any photos or media files about the child or the parent.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Personalize milestone recommendations and expert content tailored to your baby’s age and inputted location.
  • Allow you to track and manage your baby’s milestones and notes.
  • Send essential email and app notifications. You can always withdraw consent to notifications from the app settings.
  • Provide customer support if needed.

We do not use your data for advertising or external marketing purposes.

Data Sharing

We do not:

  • Sell, trade, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers
  • Track your location automatically
  • Collect health data or media/images

We also do not currently use analytics tools. If we introduce them in the future, we’ll update this policy and provide clear opt-in or opt-out options.

We may use trusted third-party service providers only for essential app functionality, such as:

  • App infrastructure (e.g., cloud data storage, authentication)
  • Email communication (e.g., for password resets)

These third parties are contractually obligated to protect your data according to applicable privacy laws.
